Overview:
This position will lead the Clinical Informatics team as we evolve our Cerner electronic medical record.

Responsibilities:
With a focus on meeting both "front-line" needs and backend analysis, the Informatics group works extensively with nurses, physicians, other clinicians and performance improvement experts to maximize the use of clinical data. Though much work is complete, much remains, including implementation of our medication administration module, bedside device interface, care planning, and physician order entry and physician documentation.

Qualifications:
Masters of Science in Nursing degree or related field preferred; Registered Nurse with a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing required; training and experience in research techniques, research projects and statistical analysis preferred; licensed to practice in the State of Alaska required; three years experience in clinical nursing; two years experience in information systems, to include working with relational databases; ability to manage large projects; the ability to learn and use various querying languages and tools; supervisory experience preferred; the ability to be self-directed with good organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
