Home Health Aide

Overview:
The HOME HEALTH AIDE is responsible for: (1) providing various client-related services to meet the personal care needs and to promote comfort and independence to acutely ill and/or chronically will patients in their homes; and (2) recording clinical and progress notes. He/she works under the direct supervision of the designated supervisor.

Qualifications:
1. Completion of state-approved Home Health Aide training program and/or successful passing of a competency evaluation program which meets state and federal guidelines.

2. Ability to relate to and treat acutely ill/chronically ill patients/families and their particular problems.

3. Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the patient.

4. Must possess the disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and all levels of staff, and interact professionally as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

5. Must possess a strong commitment to the goals, mission, and philosophy of the organization.

6. Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified patient needs.

7. Absolute integrity and the use of good judgment to handle the professional and confidential nature of assignments.

8. Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.

9. Speaks, writes, reads, and comprehends English.
