INFECTION CONTROL SPECIALIST (26011)

REQUIREMENTS

JOIN US NOW as we are seeking a dynamic Infection Control Specialist / Registered Nurse who will be responsible for all surveillance activities, educational programs and special studies related to the Infection Control Program for St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. The Specialist, in conjunction with an Infection Control practitioner and the Hospital Epidemiologist, is authorized to institute any surveillance, prevention and control measures or studies when there is a reason to believe that a patient, hospital employee, or other person(s) may be in danger.

Minimum Requirements:
- AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State. (Please refer to www.ncsbn.org for complete listing of Compact States.)

- Three years Registered Nurse experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

- BCLS certification and resuscitation level certificate as appropriate to assigned department.

Preferred Requirements:
- Two years Infection Control experience.

- Current Infection Control Certification, or successful completion of certification within 1 years of hire in position.

- Advanced education in Epidemiology (CDC, APIC or other approved coursework).
