Job Description:

Conducts phone, walk-in and scheduled assessments. Follows-up and responds to all inquiries and referrals. Provides emergency psychiatric consultation services to potential patients, other hospitals, referral sources, and community organizations. Two years experience in mental health and experience with the DSM and clinical assessments. Works closely with physicians, referral sources and other hospital departments to disseminate information with NSH and its services. Working knowledge of computers essential.

Job Requirements:

A graduate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or the ability to obtain graduate degree within one year of hire, or a registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Alaska. Two years experience in mental health care in a hospital setting preferred. Must have solid knowledge of mental health and experience using the DSM.
