MEDICAL RECORDS MANAGER FOR BULLOCK COUNTY HOSPITAL





JOB SUMMARY





Supervise Medical Records Department, personnel and their work. Responsible for ensuring that confidentiality is maintained by all personnel. Responsible for coding of patient charts. Required to participate in QI programs. Acts as a liaison between this department and other hospital employees. Works with physicians and UR Nurses to insure accuracy of all patient needs. Maintain all HIPAA compliance.





QUALIFICATIONS





EDUCATION AND TRAINING


Business Degree or related preferred


High School degree or equivalent required


RHIT or RHIA preferred





MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE


At least two (2) years progressive supervisory and management experience required and one (1) year in the health care field.


Strong knowledge of Medical Records Administration, Coding and Transcription
