RN - Hospice

Assesses patients for appropriateness for Hospice services; admits patients to Hospice as appropriate; develops Hospice Plan of Care; assumes primary responsibility for Hospice caseload to include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the Hospice Plan of Care; provides excellent age-appropriate skilled nursing care to patients; maintains current knowledge; acts in an ethical manner; communicates effectively and professionally; supervises CNA's; maintains clients' records and updates as necessary in accordance with physician's orders; adheres to all areas of the KRMC Behavioral Expectations Agreement to include standards for courtesy, respect and privacy, communication, responsiveness, teamwork, professionalism, and safety.


Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current Arizona RN license; demonstrates good oral and written communication skills; comprehensive knowledge and skill in current nursing practices; good IV skills with knowledge of peripheral and central lines; current CPR and BLS certifications; Hospice experience preferred; must be able to transfer patients from bed, wheelchair, commode often; spends 80% of time standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching; ability to drive vehicle with current Arizona driver's license.
