Unit Description:
Food Service Manager/RD for Psychiatric Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. Applicant must be RD certified and in current status. At least 3 years of directly related work experience which involved significant responsibility in carrying out the delivery of hospital or LTC services. Criminal background check and drug testing required. Clinical experience in addition to experience overseeing a food service department required. Partial Relocation assistance may be discussed.
Job Description:
Position Summary: Provides comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients/residents and/or hospital personnel in principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Performs routine care responsibilities without training and direction. Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: None Basic Functional Experience Required: 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
