POSITION SUMMARY:


Maintain international hotel rates and information in the central reservation system, and all other connecting systems as assigned.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


- Enter and maintain hotel property information and rates in the central reservation system and other connecting systems. Ensure hotel database information remains clear and accurate for all hotels worldwide.


- Organize large amounts of incoming and outgoing database changes, ensure quick turn around time, and perform quality assurance checks to ensure hotel and GDS database information is accurate, consistent and complete.


- Coordinate adding new hotel properties to assigned systems, along with property restrictions, terminations, re-instatements and on-line notices.


- Respond to database change requests, new property additions to database and ensure all hotel database information remains clear, accurate and competitive.


- Respond to customer service issues that may arise with guests, travel agents or hotel property owners.


- Add all new marketing promotions and rate programs to the assigned system/s as submitted by hotel owners or marketing areas within the company, domestic and international. Add and maintain hotel package information in each system. Respond to any database change request that may come in via e-mail, fax or phone.


- Maintain accurate records and reports on reservation system update activities. Provide property and marketing information stored in the database to internal staff, members and affiliates upon request.


- Attend training courses or on-line training to remain current in database formats, entries and system enhancements.


- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.





ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:


- 6 Months previous experience using one or more of the following systems is required (SABRE GDS, APOLLO GDS, WORLDSPAN GDS, AMAEDEUS GDS, WIZCOM)


- 18 months data entry experience from source documents in a high volume environment.


- Flexibility to adapt to varied work schedule including nights and week ends.


- Attention to detail and accuracy essential. Good proofreading skills essential


- Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate concisely and clearly with both international and domestic contacts.


- Successful demonstration of productivity in high work volume environment.

- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced work environment
