Job Details:

Assures patient physical comfort by providing fundamental patient care services within scope of responsibilities. Performs a wide variety of non-clinical patient care tasks, food & nutrition care duties and housekeeping functions. Demonstrates highest level professionalism and maintains a compassionate and pleasant manner to assure patient dignity, safety and satisfaction. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's departmental policies and procedures. Basic Education: High School Diploma (or GED) BLS Training Course C PSA/MSA Training Course completion and certification Basic Experience: 6 months Basic Field of Expertise: Nurse assistant, multi-skilled position
