Position Description
This assistant will provide administrative support to a Human Resource manager and director. Responsibilities include appointment and meeting scheduling, telephone coverage, meeting and training session coordination, filing, preparation of established and ad hoc reports, making travel arrangements, completing expense reports, assisting in coordination of performance review cycles and some contractor management administration for the IT business unit supported by this HR team. In addition, the assistant will be responsible for analysis and documentation of HR-related information. Duties will involve frequent contact and communication with a variety of people in the organization. The Administrative Assistant must be able to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
5-7 years of previous administrative experience in a corporate environment
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional attitude and demeanor
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
Strong skills in Windows, including Word and Excel
Experience with electronic calendaring (Lotus Notes is a plus)
Knowledge of Power Point, Access, Calendar Creator a plus
Some experience working in a Human Resources environment and HRIS desired but not required
Prior experience supporting more than one manager is a plus
