We have opportunities for 1 regular full-time position and 1 temporary part-time (TPT) position. Hours are flexible for the TPT position.


BASIC FUNCTION: Implements Northwestern Mutual's staffing and recruitment programs, including internal hiring and external hiring. Serves as a subject-matter expert and administrator for the company-wide applicant tracking system, to include designing and delivering training for users company-wide; problem-solving functionality issues; addressing process issues affected by the technology; designing and running reports to measure various employment metrics; and serving as project team co-leader for product upgrades and changes. Consults with all levels of management, office, building, and restaurant personnel on employment policies and procedures. Proactively participates with departments on recruiting initiatives, including college recruiting, developing a diverse slate of candidates, and sourcing strategies to fill future and current open positions. Provides counsel in employment laws and regulations. Provides direction regarding salary/compensation issues and overall employment processes. Formally represents the Company through involvement in community partnerships and other Company outreach activities. Leads and participates in a variety of related projects that are new, complex or require a high degree of initiative, self-direction and innovation.


QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five years of professional staffing or recruitment/selection experience are required, preferably in a large financial services company. Strong previous experience with employment or applicant tracking technology/systems (beyond that of a day-to-day user) is highly desirable; related HR systems experience is a plus. Sound knowledge of all state and federal laws and regulations regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action is required. Proficiency in the use of personal computers (word processing, spreadsheet and Internet) is necessary. Demonstrated creative and innovative solutions to work problems, strong communications, behavioral interviewing and problem-solving skills are critical. Demonstrated effective presentation skills and superior project management abilities required. Ability to manage a variety of diverse and demanding project responsibilities simultaneously under minimal supervision is essential. Ability to travel and/or work evening hours up to 10% is expected.
