Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring that appropriate staffing levels are maintained across multiple districts. Identifies candidate sources and recruitment opportunities. Participates in national sourcing initiatives.
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
The Staffing Manager assesses staffing needs, builds and executes a staffing plan to meet all staffing requirements. Is responsible for ensuring all staffing and recruiting needs are met for the districts, from hourly technicians to senior leadership positions. Regularly meets with business partners to determine current and future staffing needs. Builds staffing plan and recruiting activities around needs. Develops sourcing methodologies across a variety of markets and geographies. Sources qualified candidates via sources such as ads/small newspapers, employee referral programs, web postings, database searches, direct competitor recruitment, technical schools, military, direct mailings, etc. Designs and executes an administrative process that quickly and effectively moves candidates through the screening and selection process.
Duties include:
Prescreen/interview/forward candidates
Coach managers and others on interviewing skills, selection process, sourcing, etc.
Ensure high quality candidates are delivered.
Ensure positions are filled on-time.
Ensure qualified, diverse candidates are consistently surfaced and considered.
Responsible for tracking all staffing metrics.
As time allows, will also focus on assisting HR Manager with employee relations, communications, compensation, compliance, benefits and other HR initiatives.
Travel regularly to complete assigned duties.
Position will immediately support the Northern California and Mid California districts and their hiring needs. Position would work amongst a team of District HR and Field Staffing Managers throughout the Western Region.
Travel throughout the northern and mid California districts is a must. Travel to Hoffman Estates, IL and Sacramento, CA for home office and/or region projects and meetings on occasion.
