This position will be part of the team in our Madison Office, which is Berbee headquarters. Berbee Information Networks is the predominant technology solutions provider in this region. Madison is the only American city built on an isthmus which provides a beautiful setting and many recreational opportunities. Part-time during the school year. Must be able to commit for a minimum of one year.
Responsible for assisting the People Department on all phases of human resources efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedules and coordinates interviews.
- Maintains accurate computerized personnel information by adding, updating and deleting data in HR system.
- Administers surveys to employees and tracks results.
- Updates recruiting web sites and checks candidates' references.
- Records employee certifications and individual development plans.
- Prepares applicant correspondence: typing letters and assembling new hire packets.
- Collects and verifies information for employee I-9 forms.
- Assists with departmental projects.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office products and HR System experience.
- Ability to learn applications such as Sharepoint, Lawson, etc.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Previous Human Resources experience preffered.
- Knowledge and understanding of network and computer technologies preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous Administrative Support experience preferred.
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources preferred.
