Job Description
The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing human resources programs and policies including compensation, benefits, payroll, visa/green card processing, training, and health and safety programs, AAP processes and will ensure that the company has the right personnel to permit it to be successful while simultaneously creating an environment that facilitates employees in reaching their professional goals. This person will manage the daily Employee Relations and Compliance issues for the highly competent staff of employees in Birmingham, AL, Hartland, WI and for regional Emageon employees/offices through out the country. The Manager of HR will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan and implement HR processes, plans, programs and tools with business leaders to build and enhance organizational capability. This specifically includes creation and implementation of effective human capital development plans and tools.
Provide subject matter expertise to business unit leaders in areas of leadership, organizational effectiveness, organization architecture, building organizational capability and human capital processes to enable the sustainable achievement of business results.
Work closely with executives and other business unit leaders on developing high performance teams that will directly have implications of short and long-term decisions, strategies and large-scale change efforts that will yield sustainable business results.
Determine implementation strategies and customization requirements for HR plans, programs, processes, and tools to ensure local business unit needs are meet.
Educate managers and employees on HR policies, plans, programs, practices, processes, and tools to ensure knowledge transfer, enhanced organizational capability related to the management and development of people, and consistent delivery.
Create a change management and communication plan to support major organizational change when needed.
Develop and analyze workforce measurements (e.g., employee engagement, turnover, work-life issues) to help unit leaders make responsive decisions that impact people processes.
Job Qualifications
Detail knowledge of federal and state laws, company polices and ethical obligations to investigate, evaluate and recommend an appropriate resolution to an employee and labor relations' complaint.
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong Organization Development and Training knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to lead company wide Human Resources improvement initiatives.
Proven organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Education
Requires a Bachelor's Degree; Masters or Advance Degree, preferred. 6-8 years progressive HR experience.
