PDS Technical Services is looking for a Maritime Recruiter to join our team in Mobile, AL. PDS is in the people business - a proven leader in our industry. 1. Responsible for providing staffing services to existing customers in their recruiting and personnel needs.
2. Responsible for exercising discretion and good judgment in recruiting candidates for customers.
3. Responsible for sourcing candidates via the following methods: cold calling into companies where know talent resides, personal candidate network, internal resume database, Internet resume banks, the general Internet, etc.
4. Interviewing, evaluation, hiring and termination of contract personnel.
5. Negotiation of wage and salary rates with candidates
6. Marketing positions to candidates and submitting selected candidates to clients
7. Responsible for generating sales leads via information obtained by candidates and contractors.
8. Will be responsible for visiting with clients, end users and candidates face to face.
9. Will attend job fairs and/or networking events
10. Will perform heavy telephone work.
11. Will be responsible for meeting monthly objectives and must be very well organized.
12. Ability to build rapport with people over the phone.
13. Must have a very high sense of urgency and a persuasive personality.
14. Writing skills a must. Will be responsible for reformatting and submitting quality resumes to customers.
15. Ability to work independently and exercise sound discretion and judgment.
16. Computer literate (Internet, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel).
The candidate selected for this position must have experience working in a close team environment. Commitment to working as a team to reach recruiting goals is critical to the success of our business.
We offer a strong an aggressive performance based commission plan plus base salary. Company benefits include: Immediate eligibility in 401K. We also offer profit sharing, full health and dental insurance, vacation days, sick days, holidays and direct deposit.
