AL/GL Claim Specialist

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for 4-7 years experience handling AL/GL claims with consistent high level of performance and achievement over career span. 2+ years of strong litigation experience a definite plus. Demonstrated efforts and achievement toward self-development. Must have state-required certification exams and adjusting licenses. Demonstrated level of competency in the following areas: action oriented, business acumen, communication skills, conflict resolution, negotiation, critical thinking, analytical ability, customer focus, decision quality and timeliness, ethics and values, facilitation skills, functional and technical skills, initiative and willingness to act, innovation, integrity and trust, interpersonal skills, planning and organizing, and results oriented and teamwork. College degree or equivalent experience a plus.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?

In this role you will achieve fair, equitable and timely claim dispositions that the customer understands and properly assess the indemnity and expense exposure of assigned claims. Plan, recommend, reserve and execute the investigation, valuation, disposition and settlement of claims in a manner consistent with corporate claim settlement policies and procedures, and statutory and ethics requirements. This position operates within a team environment that supports and achieves Claim Business Group Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. It is critical that you develop and share business knowledge and claim handling expertise with team members and business partners, to assist in achievement of the Claim Business Group goals for business acumen and results, and the development of specialized, superior technical expertise within the organization. Handle bodily injury claims not identified as High Exposure. Specialize in Auto or General Liability and by jurisdiction, when appropriate.
