iNSURANCE BROKERAGE





SUMMARY:
Responsible for handling groups of 50+ and Small Group clients.





Responsibilities:


New Prospects:


Gather, review & evaluate current benefits plans, financial data & funding arrangements;

Organize current data into a format that can be used to market the account and use as summary of key information about client;

Determine if current plan meets objectives of client through discussions with the client and/or Producer; and if it does not, make recommendations for changes

Market lines of coverage to appropriate carriers based on dynamics & demographics of the group;

Evaluate and analyze responses & negotiate rates with carriers

Prepare & present proposed plans, carriers and funding arrangements to client and/or Producer.


New Clients and Current Clients:


- Implement new benefits /products by working with the carriers and the benefit staff at the client's office.


Maintenance of Benefits Plans:


- Maintain benefit plans through account management activities


Renewals:


- Follow through for renewals from carriers


Miscellaneous:


- Update marketing and client database


- Follow through with Producers on presented proposals to find out outcome


- Attend & participate in finalist meetings for a new business


- Meet with carriers to understand lines of coverage & change in product lines


- Maintain client files to meet E & O guidelines as designed by management.





QUALIFCATIONS: Must be extremely organized with exceptionally good math, written and oral communication, as well as technical skills.





EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma, college degree preferred and at least 10 years experience in insurance industry.





CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGRISTRATIONS: Must possess NJ Life/ Health License

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be proficient with MS Office.
