Overview:
This position is responsible for dispatching new assignments to appraisers over the phone and providing clerical support to the claims department at Western United Insurance.



Responsibilities:
Dispatch incoming estimates and additional paperwork to the in-house Claims Examiners. Request additional information on total losses. Maintain a monthly dispatch report. From telephone calls take accurate, comprehensive, and thorough loss reports. Data entry of new claim information into claim processing system, flagging key points for claim examiners. Assignment and organization of files in preparation for handling by a claims examiner. Order police reports and other documents when appropriate. Handling incoming telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner, provide information and assistance as required. Obtain records, maintain filing system, photocopy files, and distribute faxes and letters.Process small losses and pay bills. Order supplies.



Qualifications:
High School diploma. Ability to work in a team environment. PC skills and basic data entry skills are a necessity. Alpha numeric filing knowledge. Ability to lift between 10-20 lbs. Eager to learn new tasks. Demonstrate initiative.
