WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?



- 4-year college degree

- Preferred industry designation such as HIAA, CEBS, LOMA

- Minimum 2-3 years experience and documented success in a related group life and disability position such as Account Management, Sales, or Underwriting.

- Resident State Group Life & Health license required

- Working knowledge of the industry, Life & Disability products, and the services provided by a Life & Disability carrier.

- Understand primary medical/disability product connectivity and associated financial/underwriting acumen.

- Effective knowledge of competitors and ability to leverage our competencies to support voluntary sales and participation objectives

- Keep abreast of ongoing industry trends which directly impact voluntary product offerings

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?

The Field Enrollment Consultant (FEC) is located in a key GBD sales office and is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing enrollment strategies on GBD's voluntary and contributory lines of business. This role initiates the collection of and the submission of the materials required for the enrollment strategy, as well as manages and resolves any service issues related to the enrollment strategy. This role is responsible for the coordination of onsite enrollment activities which include staffing, training, meeting format development (communications, presentations, group meetings, etc.), as well as providing personal attendance during key customer events. In performing these duties, this role has contact with external customers such as brokers and clients, and this role interacts very closely with internal functional areas that are involved in the voluntary process. The FEC is also an important resource for his/her assigned field offices' and is responsible for communicating new and ongoing voluntary initiatives as well as keeping Home Office areas aware of developments in the field and marketplace. This position typically supports 2 to 3 regional sales offices. This position requires ongoing travel to assigned offices as well as visits with brokers and customers.

WHAT IS THE COMPENSATION OPPORTUNITY?

At the Hartford, our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay competitive base salaries and reward performance. The base salary for this position ranges from $45,000 to $60,000.
