Field Representative (Phoenix - East Valley)
Summary:
Field Representatives are responsible for estimating first and third party material damage, completing scene investigations, conducting in-person interviews, and assist in monitoring Esurance's DRP program. Assignments will be handled from the field using estimating software and digital photography. The Field Representative will need to understand coverage, policy interpretation, exposure recognition, liability determination, and be able to adjust material damage at all levels. Other needed skills will encompass salvage, subrogation, and total loss knowledge.
Job Responsibilities:
Working closely with Claims Representatives, Desk Auditors, Total Loss Specialists, SIU and Material Damage Managers to ensure fair, accurate, and timely settlements of material damage claims
Extensive knowledge and use of estimating software to ensure accurate appraisals of all levels of material damage
Utilization of digital photography to document all material damage for the file, as well as documenting vehicle identification, condition, mileage, options for total losses
Completing accurate total loss valuations through the use of CCC Information Services
Ensuring total losses are released and moved timely to reduce advanced charges
Thorough documentation of all activities in electronic file
Building rapport with DRP and other auto repair facilities to resolve supplements timely
Monitoring DRP shops for compliance to guidelines through the use of re-inspections
Assist MD Manager in providing material damage training for claims personnel
Complete scene investigations, in person interviews, and pick up police reports as necessary
Complete 30 hours of CE every two years to include I-CAR certifications
Understanding all the Department of Insurance Regulations and Insurance Codes that are applicable to claims handling
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience is required
5 years experience estimating auto material damage
Prior auto claims experience is required
I-CAR certification preferred
Ability to estimate all levels of auto material damage
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
