Intermediate Actuarial Analyst

Provides support for pricing, product development and related functions for Small Group, Individual and government-sponsored health insurance products.

Conducts analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes

Gathers and compiles financial data from internal and external sources and performs fundamental actuarial analysis.

Evaluates and analyzes technical reports. Prepares and summarizes reports on specific projects for management review.

Prepares reports and recommendations regarding benefit and rate changes.

Constructs probability tables based on analysis of statistical data

Uses actuarial concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a variety of problems.
Bachelor's degree and three years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge of PCs and related actuarial software applications.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts

Working knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business

Good communication skills, including ability to effectively present information in small group situations.
