SIU Manager
Summary:
Responsibilities include evaluating our insurance operation for areas of possible insurance fraud exposure, and developing an anti-fraud detection program to identify and combat this activity; keeping updated on fraud trends and educating our staff on their detection and overall suspicious indicator detection; assisting with and as needed conduct fraud investigations, and managing our outside SIU vendors such as private investigators and reconstruction experts.
Job Responsibilities:
Review with appropriate company personnel our insurance operation and investigate for areas of potential fraudulent activity
Develop programs to combat all identified areas of possible insurance fraud again Esurance
Attend SIU industry meetings, read SIU publications, and keep current on fraud trends and patterns
Communicate to our Claims staff on the current fraud trends and patterns
Train our company staff on fraud detection methods
Assist and work with our claims staff on conducting suspicious claim investigations
Develop and maintain a working relationship with various Law Enforcement agencies
Provide input, guidance, and direction to David Morse & Associates on appropriate SIU claims.
Maintain a working relationship with other SIU departments
Provide on going training to our Claims staff including ISO training
Develop, maintain, and manage our SIU outside vendors including private investigators and accident reconstruction experts
Assist the Claims Management team with assigned special projects as needed
Track key data and trends, reporting monthly on outcomes and findings
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience is required
Minimum of 5 years of insurance SIU experience with a minimum of two years in supervisory capacity preferred
Prior auto insurance claims adjusting experience preferred
Technically proficient in the area of insurance investigations especially with automobile related investigations
Excellent verbal, written, and overall people management skills
Strong analytical skills
Organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Proven leadership ability
Extensive knowledge in all areas of claims handling
Prior auto claims management experience is required
Solid computer skills and use with MS Office Products
