WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

AA or Bachelor's degree or one year STD claim experience. Demonstrated willingness to learn. Superior communications skills, both verbal and written. Windows proficiency and good keyboard skills. Demonstrated "Can Do Attitude." Strong organizational, time management, prioritization and follow-through skills. Knowledge of medical terminology a plus. Insurance experience helpful.

WHAT IS THE COMPENSATION OPPORTUNITY?

At the Hartford, our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay competitive base salaries and reward performance. The salary range for this position is $28,000 - $35,000. In addition, you will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits program including Medical, Dental, Life and Disability Insurance, a 401K Plan, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan and more.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?

Successful incumbents will be responsible for:
Review / investigate claims of low to moderate complexity (ie.,STD). Ensure compliance with policy provisions and state/federal regulations. Requires guidance on more difficult claims .
Make claim payments in accordance with the terms of the contracts.
Work successfully in a fast paced environment
