WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

The Hartford's Western Personal Lines Claim Service Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Select Consultant:
Bachelors Degree or an equivalent insurance professional designation
10 years in the Property & Casualty industry
Strong Claims adjusting experience with a focus on personal auto litigation
Multi-jurisdictional knowledge
Experience with high exposure personal lines claims
Strong knowledge of coverage issues
Motivated self-starter with energy and creativity
Team player
Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to form alliances within the organization and the industry
Superior oral and written communication skills require.
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Solid computer skills required

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?

As a Select handler, you will be responsible for planning, recommending, reserving and executing the investigation, valuation, disposition and adjudication of high exposure / litigated claims. You will work collaboratively with claimants and attorneys. You will share the knowledge gained through your analysis, as well as your claim handling expertise, with team members and business partners building constructive and effective relationships both internal and external to the company. Strong customer service focus, organizational skills, negotiating and budgeting abilities are critical to success in this role. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of coverage issues, personal auto liability, bodily injury evaluation, and knowledge of UIM.
