Schedule Required: M-Th- 8am to 6pm Fr- 8am to 5pm Sat- 9am to 1pm ( every 4th Saturday) subject to change
Position Summary:
PURPOSE:
Respond to both telephone and written inquiries from MAIG policyholders; counsel policyholders concerning coverages and or policy changes and make appropriate recommendations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Respond to inbound phone calls and written correspondence from MAIG policyholders concerning their auto and homeowners policies.
Talk to policyholders concerning coverages, and or policy changes.
Process on-line policy changes on auto and homeowners policies.
Assist with company problem solving (i.e.: refund requests, reinstatements, complaints, etc.) and verify accuracy of daily work.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/SCOPE:
Insurance Specialist Level I (Non-Licensed)
Respond to inbound phone calls from MAIG policyholders concerning their auto and homeowners policies. (55%)
Process on-line policy changes. (included in 55%)
Process credit card payments. (included in 55%)
Perform general clerical duties including typing, correspondence, maintaining on-line diary system and data entry. (20%)
Handle policyholder correspondence. (20%)
Perform other duties as assigned. (5%)


Insurance Specialist Level II (Licensed or must obtain a license within 90 days of hire)
Respond to inbound phone calls from MAIG policyholders concerning their auto and homeowners policies.(85%)
Counsel MAIG policyholders on policy coverages, limits and deductibles.(included in 85%)
Quote auto and homeowners policy changes.(included in 85%)
Process on-line policy changes.(included in 85%)
Process credit card payments.(included in 85%)
Assist in the training of other Insurance Specialists.(5%)
Cross sell collateral business lines.(included in 85%)
Speak knowledgably on other Club services.(included in 85%)
Perform other duties as assigned.(10%)

Insurance Specialist Level III
Respond to inbound phone calls from MAIG policyholders concerning their auto and homeowners policies.( 75%)
Counsel MAIG policyholders on policy coverages, limits and deductibles.( included in 75%)
Quote auto and homeowners policy changes.(included in 75%)
Process on-line policy changes.(included in 75%)
Process credit card payments.(included in 75%)
Assist in the training of other Insurance Specialists.(5%)
Cross sell collateral business lines.(included in 75%)
Speak knowledgably on other Club services.(included in 75%)
Perform other duties as assigned.(15%)
Handle special projects assisting in the achievement of departmental goals.(included in 15%)
Handle pre-supervisory calls which are calls requiring the assistance of the next level of management due to customer request or associate referral.(included in 15%)
Handle fleet projects which entails the process used when a 5th car is added to a policy. Using state specific forms the policies must be split into two policies. It involves adjusting vehicles/operators in their designated state of residence.(included in 15%)
Monitor calls for associate training which involves listening to a call for an associate and if there is a problem telling them how they can improve.(5%)



Requirements
Insurance Specialist Level I
Ability to respond to customer inquiries at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school degree, and two years of customer service experience preferably in an insurance environment.
Effective oral and written communication skills to enable accurate completion of paperwork and constructive interaction with others.
PC literate.
Ability to type correspondence at a minimum of 20 words per minute.

Insurance Specialist Level II
Ability to respond to customer inquiries at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school degree, a Property/Casualty license and three years of customer service experience in an insurance environment involving work with rates/policies and demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of automobile and homeowners coverages.
Effective oral and written communication skills to enable accurate completion of paperwork and constructive interaction with others.
PC literate.
Ability to cascade training to associates.
Ability to type correspondence at a minimum of 20 words per minute.
If non-licensed, applicant must obtain property casualty license within 90 days of hire.

Insurance Specialist Level III
Ability to respond to customer inquiries at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school degree, a Property/Casualty license and four to six years of customer service experience in an insurance environment involving work with rates/policies and demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of automobile and homeowners coverages.
Effective oral and written communication skills to enable accurate completion of paperwork and constructive interaction with others.
PC literate.
Ability to cascade training to associates.
Ability to type correspondence at a minimum of 20 words per minute.
Ability to handle special projects as assigned.
