Job Description
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for accurate and timely rating transactions and policy issuance - both manual and system generated.
· Responsible for identifying rating discrepancies and resolving related issues.
· Processes policies based on UW bypass criteria utilizing all information and resources.
· Assists in the training of other associates in all aspects of UA duties.
· Handles agency inquiries and responds to agency in support of Underwriters, team members.
· Handles communications with HO, agency personnel, regional associates with regard to UW processing and service issues.
· Assists Underwriters in proposal development.
· Assists Underwriters in obtaining and reviewing underwriting information including D&B, loss history, MVR, and loss control reports.
· Prepares and delivers proposals to selected customers.
· Assists in preparation of proposals for others on team as assigned.
· Within assigned authority, gathers and reviews all necessary information to determine degree of risk involved and proper premium.

ACCOUNTABILITY:
· Accountable for supporting and implementing the processes of premium development, policy issuance, account maintenance and policy file maintenance under assigned authority.
· Accountable for the attainment of service, productivity and quality control goals.
· Accountable for risk selection, pricing, and file documentation within assigned authority.
· Accountable for the profit, volume, and service results of assigned producers.



Required Skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· High school diploma required; some college or degree a plus.
· Minimum 1 year rating (system and manual) or underwriting support experience preferred.
· Prior experience with mainframe policy issuance systems and Microsoft software preferred.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong customer service skills.
· Strong organization skills.
