Art Director - Brand Creative Group

Reporting to the Associate Creative Director of the Brand Creative Group, this key role is responsible for translating business-driving marketing/branding initiatives into compelling, conceptual visual design that motivates our audience to engage with and support the Yahoo! brand.

Essential Functions
*Develop concepts and design for a variety of marketing deliverables including, but not limited to, online ad campaigns, email, splash pages, websites, print advertisements, collateral, signage, booth design, events, recruiting slicks, car wraps, environmental space, retail space and branded merchandise
*Work autonomously with partner copywriter during concept development and design to assure cohesive visual/textual communication that drives maximum impact
*Connect emotionally with the Yahoo! audience and give them a reason to engage and believe
*Integrate the brand personality into all communication and maintain a consistent look and feel that reinforces and builds the Yahoo! brand as a leader and an innovator

Other Duties & Responsibilities
*Work with Marketing teams to understand the nuances of the Yahoo! audience and how to speak to them
*Develop a strong command of the Yahoo! brand, positioning and guidelines in order to elevate and reinvigorate the brand with every project
*Provide the following production design support when needed (image cropping, templatized ads, logo sizing, collateral development)

Experience & Skills
*Minimum 4-5 years experience in communication design/advertising, preferably with a couple years as an art director at an ad agency.
*Strong conceptual talent with the ability to execute all designs to production-ready art.
*Experience working with clients/pitching creative
*Portfolio of outstanding creative work that covers online, offline, brand & one-to-one campaigns
*Proven ability to work autonomously with a partner copywriter to develop the best copy/layout solution to a given marketing communication challenge
*Visionary who strives to enhance and differentiate the brand with every project
