Location: Southern Wisconsin
Salary Expectations: 150-185K
Strong e-commerce background
70 to 80% Creative/Design work
20 to 30% Technical work
Creating a website's look and feel; design work and then working with the technical team to bring it to life.
Extensive Fortune 100 experience in Senior Level role (ideally Director) from: AOL, Netflix, Home Depot, Eddie Bauer, Nordstrom, Williams Sanoma, etc.
Position Statement:
The Creative Web/E-Commerce Director takes an active, hands-on role in leading ideation with team members, providing creative direction to other designers, and working with peers to implement designs into existing technology frameworks. The ideal candidate is an assertive, forward-thinking problem solver who enjoys motivating a design team to produce great work. He or she will work with Upper Management/Execs, E-Commerce to mentor designers, develop and expand their creative abilities, and will ensure that throughout the creative process both intra/inter departmental teams are partnered with, guided and educated on how creative concepts meet brand strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
This position requires the ability to solve marketing challenges through, smart, conceptual creative that supports the brand direction, and generates a top-of-mind perspective with our consumer demographic. The Creative Web/E-Commerce Director will work with the Marketing and other Managers to identify and meet the strategic intent for projects. Candidates must have professional agency experience working across a broad range of media.
The Director will oversee projects - from brainstorming, conception, architecting, to development and deployment.
Position Requirements:
1. 7-10+ years of experience graphic design/art direction, with an emphasis on consumer related projects
2. 5+ years of experience in a managerial role
3. Information Architecture or Usability experience with a Web and/or Interface focus and a strong understanding of Internet and Multimedia technologies (front and back-end) required
4. Strong understanding of designing site functionality, interaction, site architecture and data flow, user interfaces, and intuitive navigation schemes is also required
5. Hands-on Web development experience building sites in a professional or academic setting
