We are in search of a mid-to-senior level engineer who will assist in the design, development, and production of crucial aspects of the Yahoo! Local platform. Attention to detail is critical, but an aptitude to absorb the bigger picture and the inherent business priorities is needed as well.

Basic Requirements:
Working knowledge of Oracle/MySQL and RDBMS is important, as is a disciplined coding mentality honed in a C++/Unix development environment.

Preferred Requirements:
Ideally, you would have a BS or equivalent with 6+ years of industry experience building scalable and highly distributed web applications. Fewer years of experience will be required for candidates with higher degrees.

Fluency with Perl/Unix shell scripting is a major plus, and exposure to web technologies including Apache, PHP, XML, etc., is desirable.
