Director Product Management I

Description
Drive the development of the world's leading on-line advertising platform. Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the product lifecycle, including product vision, requirements, prioritization, implementation, support and enhancements.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales Operations, Engineering, and other Yahoo! teams worldwide to understand market needs.
- Work directly with application users in a variety of roles, businesses, and locations to assess product requirements and priorities.
- Process and operations analysis to address key inefficiencies and revenue opportunities.
- Lead the cross-functional team through the full product lifecycle from market requirements to feature definition and prioritization onto implementation, deployment and support.
- Create presentations and supporting documents to facilitate communication across all teams
- Prioritize the features and enhancement in development pipeline to maximize market opportunity.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
- Experienced technical Product Management professional with proven track record in software industry
- Familiarity with Internet software technologies, especially user targeting and optimization/yield management
- Experience with enterprise-level business application software. Sales Force Automation and Customer Relationship Management knowledge a plus.
- Ability to quickly grasp Yahoo!'s advertising business
- Strong customer orientation and ability to build rapport;
- Superior negotiation and relationship management skills to build consensus;
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- 20-30% travel may be required

Basic Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field,

Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA with technical background
- 8+ years of software product management experience, preferably in Internet-related fields
- Direct experience working side-by-side with engineering team
- Experience with on-line advertising, search marketing, e-commerce, and ad networks strongly desired
- Experience managing a team
- Experience managing cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment
