Machine Learning Engineer, Personalization Platform

The Yahoo! Personalization Platform team is looking for an engineer to help develop machine learning algorithms for our next generation adaptive personalization platform.

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project types, including: rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept development; researching engineering libraries, tools, and platforms for machine learning; mining click-thru logs and qualitative feedback to refine and improve the learning algorithms. The successful candidate will be passionate about software engineering with research interest.

Basic Qualifications:
- Expert level knowledge of Unix, C/C++
- Experience with machine learning, data mining or human-computer interaction/user experience
- Experience rapidly prototyping new algorithms

Preferred Qualifications:
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 6+ years of experience developing commercial software
- Experience with high throughput, heavily distributed, partitioned systems
- Proficiency with scripting languages like pearl, php etc
