Job Description:

The Yahoo! Creative Team, located in Santa Monica, develops strategic and innovative advertising campaigns to promote the Yahoo network, as well as prototype improvements to the advertising experience throughout Yahoo!

The Creative group within our team is dedicated to developing exceptional and unique visual and conceptual executions promoting the Yahoo network . The group is looking for motion designers and animators who have a passion for all types of design and working within a highly creative, motivated team. As a motion designer in the Studio group, you will work in tandem with writers, interactive designers and project managers in developing Yahoo promotional campaigns. Additionally, The Creative team is a growing, evolving and embraces an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit.



Responsibilities:

As a motion designer in the Creative group, you will:

- Create animated sequences for advertising concepts.
- Create motion graphics for video and DVD-based concept presentations
- Animate ideas from linear and interactive storyboard sequences
- Bring to life strategic concepts through motion
- Work in tandem with writers, illustrators, and project managers.
- Work with the top brands in all industries and influence how they represent themselves online.
- Advance the state of online creative through innovative concepts.

Basic Requirements:

- Strong conceptual and visual background.
- Proficient with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

Preferred Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
- Final Cut and any 3D experience highly preferred.
- Competent animator, able to adapt to a variety of visual styles.
- Ability to visualize sequences and tell stories through graphic animations.
- Experience working within rapid concepting and delivery time frames.
- Strong portfolio or reel (please provide URLs).
- Exceptional concepting and communication skills. Storyboarding a plus.
- Attention to detail and craftsmanship.
