Job Description:

Yahoo! Search Marketing is seeking an experienced, results-driven, operations manager to assist the Director of Content Operations in leading our offshore production operations. The Content Solutions Group is comprised of a large number content operations specialists who support Yahoo!'s sponsored search business. The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving initiatives that improve day-to-day operations and project managing new process transitions. The ideal candidate be well-traveled/cultured and have solid background in managing production operations under tight SLA measures for productivity, quality and cost. The senior manager will also play a significant role in helping other Yahoo groups explore, pilot and operate offshored services to steady state.

Job responsibilities:

Offshore Operations
* Assist Director to manage day-to-day operations of Indian offshore production operations. Drive various sub-teams to meet SLA measures for quality, productivity, turnaround time and cost.
* Lead new offshoring initiatives such as transitioning new processes, building a captive offshore operation and driving vendor selection.
* Ensure that technology and other support services (finance, training, reporting, etc) are in place to sustain the offshoring platform.
* Mentor US and Indian process managers to ensure successful process migration and ongoing steady state performance.
* Be on-call 24/7 (rarely needed, but usually critical if called upon) to support and make key decisions on offshore operations.

Strategy Development for Content Solutions
* The Operations Manager will be a key leader and decision maker in the Content Solutions team. This individual will help influence the strategic direction for how Content Operations resources are utilized and what directives will be taken to drive greater efficiency.
* Utilize analytical and leadership skills to define and implement strategic decisions.

Core Operations Projects
* Drive BCP (business continuity planning) for Content Solutions and sister organizations.
* Define requirements for tool functionality to improve operational efficiency.
* Partner with Quality, Sales and Service teams to drive projects that enhance advertiser experience, CTR and revenue.

Skills/Qualifications:

Work Experience:
* 7+ years in operations and/or project management in the technology industry or management consulting (supply chain management, strategy, operations, or technology). Strong operational background with proven results in execution of large-scale, mutli-disciplined projects or operations.
* Excellent people skills to influence decisions across org functions and to drive the vendor relationship. Proven ability to work with senior management and inspire production staff.
* Well-versed financial skills to drive strategic planning and budgeting for offshoring operation.
* Strong blend of business acumen (frameworks approach, root cause analysis, relationship management) and technical knowledge (product development cycle, 6-Sigma, data analysis).
* Preference for candidates with online advertising or online shopping experience - sponsored search, online auctions, comparison shopping, and online listings.
* Experience successfully managing large cross-functional projects and teams.
* Experience managing others directly and through a matrixed structure. Ability to mentor and grow the skills of junior colleagues.

Education & Industry Background:
* MBA or graduate degree from leading university strongly preferred.
* Understanding of the Internet search industry and its associated players, technological trends, etc., particularly as it relates to sponsored search and search quality.
* Well traveled and culturally aware. Willing to make multiple trips to India and other international locales.
* Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment where the company is driving innovation within the industry.
