Job Description:
As a member of the Global Content Quality team (GCQ), the Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of core quality issues, including drivers of click-through-rate and relevance. He/she will work with the Director, Projects and Analysis, to set objectives for the team and will oversee marketplace improvement programs to achieve revenue and relevance goals. The Analyst will play a lead role in identifying term marketplaces that are in need of quality improvement, and he/she will help manage efforts to improve those marketplaces through both automated product settings and manual review. The Analyst will also be responsible for tracking performance across all operational groups within GCQ and providing those groups with analytical support. In addition, the Analyst will be GCQ's overall liaison with YSM reporting. Time permitting, the Analyst may also participate in other initiatives, ensuring that YSM's quality and relevance initiatives are grounded in and supported by rigorous analysis.


Primary Responsibilities:
*Design and perform analysis on drivers of click-through-rate, relevance, and monetization, with a specific focus on Sponsored Search.
*Manage the term selection, tool configuration and performance tracking of initiatives aimed at improving marketplace relevance and monetization. Analyst will be responsible for continuing to refine the processes and methodologies for such initiatives.
*Track and report performance across the various GCQ operational teams. Analyst will also provide recommendations to teams on how they can continue to drive efficiency while maintaining quality.
*Help manage automated relevance-related YSM products (e.g., Click Index) and provide support in setting product parameters as needed.
*Act as primary point of contact for the broader GCQ team with respect to report creation and improvement. Analyst is responsible for understanding the business needs of the required report(s) and ensuring that the report(s) are built or fixed. Analyst will also be responsible for prioritizing reporting requirements within the broader GCQ team
*Act as primary point of contact for global market relevance analysts looking for information and methodologies associated with analytical projects conducted in the US. Provide global colleagues with necessary training and pass on best practices.

Basic Qualifications:
*Two or more years of full-time work experience (preferably in the Internet, technology, or management consulting industries) in a job requiring strong analytical skills; rigorous data-driven decision making; project management; and business judgment.
*Strong problem solving and quantitative analytical skills. In particular: experience designing, executing and interpreting complex analysis; building models; and developing frameworks.
*Extremely proactive and naturally inquisitive.
*Ability to see the big picture while effectively analyzing details.
*Solid understanding of statistics and statistical analysis is required.
*Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
*Ability to manage several projects concurrently with effective resolution of conflicting priorities.
*Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or similar discipline.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels and to influence change.
*Highly proficient in MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Proficiency in SQL a plus.
