Title: Streaming Technician / Sales Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA

The Streaming Sales Engineer is responsible for executing on all player streaming campaigns across Yahoo!. In addition, this person will own all projects and testing associated with player streaming and the Universal Player.

This individual contributor will be responsible for monitoring streaming ad campaign requests and assisting the customer service teams with the creation of video ads and associated ad units. The SSE will work with the broadcast team in Dallas to attain video ad assets and track all creative encoded and submitted from the Dallas team. They will help test and troubleshoot player issues and answer general questions regarding Y! streaming ad capabilities.

This role requires an in-depth knowledge and ownership of player streaming. This person will support internal back-end serving capabilities, create sales tools to evangelize player streaming, assist with tracking player streaming campaigns, work hand-in-hand with BU's on new player implementation, provide MDC training, and consistently help troubleshoot streaming player issues. Very importantly they will lead in the effort towards the Universal Player representing Sales and Operations.

In addition to streaming expertise, this role will also work as a Rich Media Sales Engineer. You will interact both internally with Yahoo! sales, production, engineering, media solutions, and client services and externally with advertisers, agencies and third party rich media vendors to uphold operations requirements and technical specifications.

A qualified candidate must have a minimum of 3 years professional experience in Internet media advertising.

The ideal candidate's technical skill set includes:
* Required: expertise in HTML and JavaScript with a working understanding of Flash and ActionScript.
* Highly preferred: experience with online graphical ad management systems. Knowledge of Flashcomm and Windows Media, buffering and bandwidth detection, aspect ratios and codex.
* Desired: familiarity with XML.
* Plus: Project management experience.
