Job Description:
This position is responsible for managing and leading the Workplace Resources Strategic Vendor Management Organization for Employee and Business Services for US and Canada. The role would apply a strong facilities subject matter expertise to manage outsourced functions and team members to drive cross-functional and cross-regional synergies for Cisco¿s facilities services requirements in such areas as copy services, distribution services, office supply delivery, food and beverage services, fitness and wellness and facilities management services. In addition, the individual would liaison with other SVM roles for maintenance and operations, real estate transactions, construction project management and facilities planning. With an expertise in the development, management and integration of outsourced services, this individual would focus on all aspects of the vendor management lifecycle from spending analysis and outsource ROI development to competitive market analysis and competitive bidding, contract negotiations and management, vendor performance management, vendor enablement and training, enhancement and integration of the WPR vendor ecosystem and dispute resolution. This individual would define, baseline, quantify, measure, and evolve client and customer satisfaction goals for the organization and coordinate proactive feedback loops to increase the value of the services to the WPR client. Other responsibilities would include communication and collaboration with all WPR functions regarding services integration including the WPR GeoCAMs (client-facing operations), BCAMS (client strategic development), Global Process Managers, the Workplace Effectiveness and Cisco Connected Real Estate Teams, the Global Operations Team (process and policy development) the WPR finance, IT and executive teams. Outstanding ability to work cross-functionally with such teams as, HR, IT, Global Procurement, Legal and Risk to build business partnerships and focus on driving common goals to the WPR client.
This individual would supervise the activities of the team and evaluate their results against the broader context of Cisco and WPR The individual will manage up to six direct reports, support staff development and would facilitate broader organizational development and organizational initiatives. Effective people management and leadership skills with an ability to build high performance teams develop people and create a shared vision for the organization. Interfaces with all managers and directors within the WW WPR Organization, Actively participates in field and partner meetings. Communicate and influence effectively. Solve problems and thinks critically. Results oriented with an ability to articulate an overall vision and strategy and drive the team to achieve it. Educational and Experience Background:
Typically requires a BA/BS or equivalent, 8+ years of related work experience in Facilities Operations. Must have applicable experience in vendor management and negotiation
An ability to combine an established subject matter expertise in facilities management with experience in sourcing and managing outsource vendors in a manner that leverages the vendor¿s industry expertise and strategic knowledge within WPR¿s goals and initiatives.
A comprehensive knowledge of outsourcing strategies in a complex corporate environment with well-honed vendor management skills across the vendor management life-cycle.
A developed knowledge of industry trends in the functions including vendor networking strategies, vendor business models, vendor best practices in process and quality, industry standards and performance metrics and market indices.
A defined knowledge of process development and improvement including best practices within the services function for leveraging outsourcing process to maximize internal efficiencies and facilities productivity.
A working knowledge of Cisco's business strategies globally to proactively anticipate business and facilities needs based on industry trends.
The ability to lead a team to develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies within the functions including opportunity assessment and prioritization, spend and supply analysis, vendor benchmarking, vendor interviews, vendor process mapping, business case development, scope of work/specifications, RFx preparation and distribution, total cost of ownership modeling, contract negotiations, contract management, vendor performance management and dispute resolution skills.
Require a working knowledge of the contractual agreements between the company and the vendor, drawing upon good contract management skills in order to effectively manage discrepancies in understanding regarding vendor performance and contract requirements.
Exceptional relationship management and conflict management capabilities in order to guide the company/vendor relationship and a proficiency at project management skills required to effectively administer regularly scheduled partner performance evaluations and ongoing, timely review of vendor performance metrics.
A strong knowledge or corporate compliance requirements including the maintenance of those requirements through business integrity processes.
Strong Financial acumen including transactional competence in budgeting, forecasting, project modeling and project return.
A combination of financial and operational management skills to readily correlate the costs, benefits and intangible impacts of various methods and levels of outsourced service delivery.
Strong presentation skills and interpersonal skills to support inter-departmental, cross-departmental and external coordination of outsourcing and service delivery with WPR process, policies and initiatives.
The ability to work cross-functionally and to expand specific subject matter expertise to a broadly defined facilities delivery.
Sophisticated team management and problem resolution skills combined with the ability to work within diverse groups and drive towards common goals.
Requires BA/BS or equivalent plus 10-12 years of related work experience in Facilities Operations and Property Management. Requires experience in managing direct reports in addition to partners and outsourced resources. Must have experience in multiple building and or site operations disciplines.
