Loss Prevention Guard

Overview:At Macys, as a loss prevention graveyard guard you'll be an important part of the professional team that's responsible for protecting our assets: our merchandise, employees and customers; and supporting our core values and business priorities.

Key Accountabilities:As the "first contact" for Macy's team member and vendors. You'll be responsible for managing our Employee Entrances & Exits and performing these duties on a daily basis:
Check that all employees and vendors follow our building entrance/exit policies and procedures and promptly report any violations to your manager
Make sure that everyone entering our buildings either shows you a valid Macy's employee identification or signs our "Macy's visitor sign-in sheet
Manage the daily arrival and departures of our vendors. You'll check that they've signed in and out, and that they're wearing appropriate identification while they're in our buildings
Help us control internal theft by regularly checking the packages of employees and vendors when they leave our buildings
Provide outstanding customer service, offering a friendly greeting to Macy's team member and vendors, and courteously approaching team members and vendors while conducting surveillance in any Macy's facilities
You'll respond to any burglar and/or fire alarms and be familiar with the alarm panels
You'll be responsible for the Macy's Emergency line and will need to be able to refer and calls for assistance from our selling team to the LP team
You'll communicate and suspicious behavior to the Loss Prevention Staff
You'll write comprehensive incident reports that meet the standards of Loss Prevention
