Loss Prevention Agent

Overview:
At Macy's, we have integrated the Loss Prevention function into the way we manage our stores. Our Loss Prevention Agents are asked to not only investigate and apprehend those involved in theft, but to also be a vital participant in the management processes that help to prevent theft. To accomplish this, we look for well-rounded candidates who have an interest in problem solving and enjoy working in a teamwork atmosphere. We offer our agents career growth opportunities into both higher-level associate and salaried Loss Prevention Management positions. We also provide an excellent training program that includes on the job and classroom training.

Key Accountabilities:

Detect and investigate internal and external theft
Analyze shortage trends and work to implement and monitor proactive solutions
Prepare Security Reports and input other investigative data on a PC Terminal
Operate surveillance camera, and utilize other computer-based resources to monitor activity in the store
Audit Loss Prevention standards in assigned areas within the store
Promote Shortage Awareness through regular and proactive communication with the store's executive and associate population.
Participate in Security related training of store staff
Maintain certification in CPR and First-Aid.

Skills Summary:
While previous experience in Security/Loss Prevention may be helpful, it is not a requirement for this position. Interested candidates should have basic PC and typing skills, good verbal and written communication skills, and be highly motivated to learn and work as part of a team. Through your hard work and dedication as a Loss Prevention Agent you will directly affect your store's profitability by identifying and resolving issues contributing to shortage.
