Foreign Filing Assistant

Position Type: Full Time

International firm is seeking a foreign filing specialist for their growing office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reviewing international filing instructions for new applications to be filed in a timely manner; educating attorney and support staff on domestic law requirements in foreign jurisdictions; training staff on foreign procedures; and docketing new matters in the firm's docketing system. Candidate will be responsible for opening new files; preparing status reports; preparing PCT, Non-PCT, Plant, Design and National Phase applications for filing. Candidate will be preparing Demands for Preliminary Examination; reviewing dockets of the department staff; acting as liaison between in-house counsel and foreign associates; assisting in internal recruiting; preparing and responding to various communications from the USPTO and WIPO; and other duties as assigned.
