We are currently searching for a Paralegal to add to our dynamic Legal team. Reporting to Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for assisting the attorney staff in performing Legal Department responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

-Consumer Finance experience preferred (Auto-Mortgage-Credit Cards-Compliance)
-Litigation experience
-Responding to attorney general complaints
-Managing regulatory exams
-Reading pleadings and Research
-Tracks various department functions, monitors tickers and performs related tasks
-Prepares applications and periodic renewals, tracks status of licenses
-Reviews complaints, prepares case summaries, and maintains status report
-Assists in discovery requests and coordinates with outside counsel
-Prepares responses to subpoenas and Requests for Information
-Reviews ACS, CMSI and other file materials to compile relevant account information to a given matter
-Assists in preparation of department reports and presentations
-Drafts Corporate resolutions and performs directed tasks from attorney staff
-Updates legal resource materials, opens and sorts mail, photocopies, faxes, files

The ideal candidate will have:
-4+ years related experience
-ABA approved paralegal certificate preferred
-AA or BA preferred, but not required
-Familiar with ACS, CSMI, PAMS, filenet, and visio
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-Good problem solving and time management skills
-Basic leadership skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Office products
-Good analytical skills
-Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills
