POSITION OVERVIEW:Perform a wide-range of special projects and general financial functions for the Law Department. Responsible for tracking all administrative and legal expenses/budgets for projects, litigation & IP related matters (foreign & domestic). Maintain filing, input data, search & retrieve files. This position requires strong technical skills and encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including accounting processes and administrative projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Data entry for legal invoices, wire transfers; maintain monthly reclassifications, generate and reconcile monthly reports
?Responsible for department purchases via Procurement credit card, including reconciliation process
?Track legal expenses in matter management system
?Maintain, verify and coordinate legal electronic data exchange standard (LEDES) compliance with law firms for electronic exchange of invoices/information
?Assist/track Annual Operating Plan and Administrative processes and quarterly forecasting
?Technical support to ensure systems and application integrity
?Draft correspondence, set up and maintain files
?Prepare purchase orders for ongoing goods and services via Smart-Buy procurement system
?Responsible for updating/adding new vendors to VMA system
?Participate and assist with special projects as necessary
?Flexible to work some overtime, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
5-7 years progressively responsible administrative/financial experience in a corporate or legal environment.
?College and computer systems experience
?Strong technical knowledge; proficient in Microsoft Office 2005 Suite (including Word, Excel, Point Point)
?Familiar with relational financial databases.
?Bookkeeping/financial experience (A/P, A/RE, general ledger and balance sheets) required
?Demonstrate organizational and time management skills with high degree of self-initiative
