Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM), In Store Support (ISS) is responsible for planning and executing marketing strategy and visual programs in the store to include accountability for price integrity, signing, appropriate fixturing and merchandising standards. The ISS ASM is accountable for customers, associates, sales and profitability, as it relates to data/price integrity, marketing and visual program planning and execution, and store presentation.
• Is directly responsible for leading a team of associates in fulfilling their respective roles in providing a Fast, In-Stock and Helpful customer experience
• Responsible for contributing to the overall financial performance of the store; includes merchandise sales, credit and other miscellaneous revenues, expense management and achievement of profitability goals.
• Drives appropriate behaviors in all store staff that result in customer satisfaction and performance to goals
• Supports profitability of Hardlines and Softlines departments through accurate inventory cycle counts and pricing integrity
• Is directly responsible for the mentorship and development of the ISS Lead for a future management role.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements

Customer
• Proactively leads the In Store Support associates to ensure achievement of customer satisfaction goals.
• Fulfills the role of Customer Service Manager on Duty, in conjunction with other Assistant Store Managers, acting as role model for all store associates to provide outstanding customer service
People (Associates)
• Develops a high performance team by hiring, coaching, developing and managing performance of hourly leads and associates
• Fulfills the role of Customer Service Manager on Duty, in conjunction with other Assistant Store Managers, recognizing associates for exceptional performance through the management of the entire sales floor and operations
Sales
• Takes ownership for planning/managing full implementation of corporate programs and initiatives on event set up and whole house initiatives
• Fulfills the role of Customer Service Manager on Duty, in conjunction with other Assistant Store Managers, driving financial literacy through coaching on sales and operational performance through the management of the entire sales floor

Profit
• Fully optimizes Credit (e.g. share, AccountCare, new accounts) and other Miscellaneous Income opportunities (e.g. Protection Agreements, Installation, Gift Card, Home Service Leads) within the store
• Proactively leads the In Store Support department to ensure achievement of profitability goals through management of margins (via communication to Home Office), expense and inventory shrink
