This job contributes to Starbucks success by ensuring timely, efficient repair and maintenance of store equipment. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.


Qualifications
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Maintains service documentation. Communicates with store management, partners, senior technician and facilities supervisor regarding issues, project completion timelines and workload priorities.
- Performs preventive maintenance and diagnostic repair of brewers, grinders, espresso and related equipment. Performs minor facility repairs. Maintains tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe working practices. Acts as a resource for all partners in equipment and service maintenance.
- Provides input to service providers involved with all brewing, grinding, and other equipment.
Summary of Experience
- Service or maintenance experience in retail or restaurant chain operations 1 year
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to address store issues with vendors and service contractors
- Ability to maintain part and equipment inventory
- Ability to perform basic electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs
- Ability to set up equipment for events
- Knowledge of billing and cost control
- Knowledge of construction materials and specifications
- Knowledge of newly developed equipment
- Knowledge of wiring specifications for all equipment
- Understanding of heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC) systems maintenance
- Knowledge of work order processing tools
- Knowledge of the equipment and facilities
Education
- Current valid driver's license
