Operations Manager

Position Type: Consulting

Seeking an Operations Manager to direct the company’s procurement, production and order-fulfillment operations. The Operations Manager will supervise a full time staff of 3 and a seasonal/part-time staff typically ranging from 2-10, and will work closely with company leadership to ensure efficient, cost-effective administration of the company’s warehouse operations.

Reports To: COO

Key areas of responsibility
•Oversee warehouse operations for three distinct lines of business:
*Wine of the month club for 5000+ members
*Personalized label wines
*Wholesale wine brands
•Work closely with Marketing to coordinate inventory levels and product availability for seasonal promotions and new product launches
•Work closely with Controller to monitor and optimize inventory balances & purchasing by forecasting & analysis
•Work closely with customer service to ensure efficient, accurate and on-time order fulfillment.
•Work closely with outside logistics provider to coordinate shipments to non-direct-ship states.
•Manage relationships with freight carriers, packaging & equipment vendors and certain wine suppliers
•Coordinate receipt of inbound product with vendors and prevent stockouts
•Manage off-site inventory storage
•Coordinate annual physical inventory with outside auditors
•Generate purchase orders and receipts
•Maintain reporting on warehouse metrics for management team
•Coordinate SKU maintenance and updates
•Schedule staffing, & training of seasonal staff

Requirements
Desired Experience:
•Entrepreneurial/early-stage growth company
•Wine company experience a plus
•Leadership & supervision of a team
•Development/documentation of systems and procedures.

Qualifications
•5+ years of warehouse management/supervisory experience.
•Proven track record of building and optimizing logistics processes
•Direct-to-consumer fulfillment experience
•Part master/BOM control and maintenance
•Experience managing suppliers & negotiating rates
