Oracle Database Specialis

Job Details
This opening is for an Oracle Database Specialist on the America's Advanced
Technical Support Solutions team. The ideal candidate should have solid
experience with implementing Enterprise Application Solution infrastructures
in Fortune 500 accounts. Candidates should have extensive hands-on
experience with Oracle databases on AIX including tuning and database
migrations. The following hands-on experience is required: database
migration across UNIX platforms, and implementing hardware/software
infrastructures for ERP Solutions on AIX, including performance tuning and
diagnosis of complex solution architectures. Customer responsibilities
include: performance analysis/assessment, debugging database performance
problems, designing complex solution architectures, performing design
reviews and performing POCs.

Additional responsibilities include creating technical whitepapers and
guides to facilitate internal and external skills development, and
requirements feedback to the IBM labs and ISV solution owners.

Oracle database platform rehosting (migration)
Oracle Database (installation/tuning/DBA)
pSeries/AIX (installation/problem determination/tuning)
Experience with EPS solutions (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Siebel)
Technical/customer sales support skills
Presentation/communication skills
