Job Summary

Lands' End, a leading international brand of classically inspired clothing and home products, is currently looking for a Planning Manager. Lands' End is a multi-channel retailer offering products through specialty catalogs, the Internet, and in Sears stores. Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements

As a Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the generation and management of Lands' End product forecasts across Sears stores. The Planning Manager will interact on a regular basis with the Lands' End Merchant, Replenishment and Supply Management teams. You will manage the financial plans by category by month, quarter, and by year. You will drive financial results that maximize sales and gross margins. Other responsibilities include analyzing historical product performance and current business trends to support seasonal merchandise/assortment planning and identifying risk and opportunities by category; conducting in-season performance tracking, reporting, and analysis; providing markdown and promotion analysis and recommendations; and managing processes to meet risk inventory and fulfillment goals. Although the Planning Managers will still look to the Director of Planning and Allocation for guidance they should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Successful candidates should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

· Previous experience in merchandise planning.
· A proficient understanding of assortment planning, forecasting and markdown management.
· A solid understanding of common planning and forecasting processes and procedures.
· Proven ability to understand financial measurements and how to impact them.
· Strong written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
· Proficiency in using mainframe and PC based packages.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong negotiation skills.
· Strong leadership skills.
· Past retail and analytical experienced desired.
