Project Manager-Application Migration

We are actively searching for Project Managers with experience managing application migrations to/from platforms using HP/UX,Sun Solaris, OpenVMS, AIX and Linux . The project manager will be creating detailed project plans- these will encompass setup, code inventory, test procedure review, baseline builds, baseline tests, application migration, third-party tool migration,unit and system test, onsite validation, performance tuning & successful project closure. This role is responsible for leading a project team in delivering a solution to the customer using the appropriate business measurements and terms and conditions for the project according to the project charter, project agreement or contract. They have all responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, including applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management. Candidates should be experienced and familiar with all aspects of application migration projects, and capable of creating a detailed project plan encompassing all tasks, deliverables and milestones for the project. Experience managing projects with external customers. Client facing at both technical and managerial levels. Must have significant experience implementing software development projects. The following skills are necessary for this position: Project Management Certification (PMI or IBM) ideal Perform Business Development, Microsoft Project; Experience developing project definition & plan; experience developing risk management plans; financial management plans; Quality plans Knowledge of Software Products; xSeries - Server Consolidation; xSeries - Server vs. Competition Familiarity with IBM Tools - Lotus Notes; and DB2 Universal Database ideal.

Since most of our work is performed at client sites, this position requires up to 100% travel.
