With over 125 branches nationwide and 500 sales representatives, White Cap stocks a wide array of more than 65,000 products, including brand name construction materials, hand tools, fasteners, safety equipment, power tools and equipment, work wear, concrete forms and supplies, and landscape lighting.


Position Purpose
Obtain and update (as-built) existing store layouts. Design floor plans for all resets as assigned for existing stores. Work with the architect assigned for those resets to create construction documents that satisfy Corporate standards. Communicate with the Design planners as a liaison to the Merchant group for category placement and department adjacencies. Create a display scope of work, bid, hire and administer contracts on all hired installations of interior finishes and fixtures. Account for all existing fixed assets and the ordering of new assets during store remodels and resets. Evaluate the need and process all supplemental fixed asset orders for the new store process. Supervise the setup process and contractor installations for all assigned new store projects. Maintain established planning process schedules, critical paths and benchmark deadlines to keep projects on schedule.


Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Nature and Scope

Typically reports to Regional Set Up Manager.

This position has no direct reports.

Must be eighteen years of age or older

Must pass the Drug Test

Must pass the Background Check

Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
Education Required - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience - 3
Certificates/Licenses -
Physical Job Requirements - Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Three plus years of experience is preferred.

Windows application skills and Computer Aided Design software experience. 2+ years

Store design and space planning skills that are consistent with the retail environment.

Solid math skills and detail oriented for purposes of fixture ordering and supporting documents.

Contract administration and negotiations experience.

Ability to supervise contract labor and maintaining critical schedules.

Excellent communication and organization skills.

Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
