Reports To: RVP


Supervises: Dual Store Managers and Store Managers


Status: Full-Time, Exempt, Salary









Position Description:


The District Director of Operations (DDO) is responsible for the overall operations and Profitability and Loss (P & L) of a particular Check n Go district. The DDO will have the primary responsibility of overseeing areas of growth, marketing, customer service, supervision and development of the Management group in the district. The key focus revolves around day to day operations necessary to the payday advance industry, customer service,and profitablity, with knowledge and understanding of the banking relationship and software used in our lending process. The DDO position is there to give immediate support to all field personnal and be a contact person between the field and corp. departments. The District Director of Operations provides operational leadership and direction essential to the success of 15-20 stores in an established district.



Major Position Responsibilities:


- Provides sales and operations training to Store Managers.


- Establishes, attains and reports goals of targeted key indicators of store performance, e.g. new customer accounts, referrals, outside sales calls, inactive customer accounts, year over year growth, etc.


- Maintains overall responsibility for physical site operations


- Supervises the maintenance of financial records within the district


- Authorizes district payroll, maintains accurate records and reports period payroll to corporate payroll department


- Supervises the enforcement of established operational and personnel policies and procedures.


- Communicates to the Regional Vice President and/or the Divisional Vice President regarding operations and staffing needs, business and advertising opportunities.


- Audits store financial records. Audits for compliance and company/State policy and procedure including FDIC regulation where applicable.


- Troubleshoots and maintains store system including staff training


- Oversees and participates in recruiting, hiring, orientation and training of staff for the district.


- Completes associate paperwork and submits to human resources on a timely basis.


- Ensures excellent customer service throughout the district.


- Addresses leasehold issues and works with corporate support staff to correct concerns or problems.








Position Requirements:






High School Diploma/GED. Associates degree or Bachelor's a plus!

At least 3 years of previous multi-unit management experience. At least three years as a Check n Go employee.

Previous industry experience a plus.

Must be able to maintain high degree of confidentiality.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Sr./Advanced experience with pc operation and with MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook operating systems.

Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management

Must be able to communicate with external business partners and vendors.

Must be able to follow company published policy and procedure.

Must be able to work with intermittent supervision.

Must be able to make hiring decisions, delegate, instruct/train, approve time off, conduct performance evaluations and make recommendations to senior management as needed.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. With or without reasonable accommodation.

Travel up to 50%.
