Responsible for all engineering and Maintenance activities in this large manaufacturing facility.





























Job Description


With responsibility for the Maintenance Department (facilities and equipment), the Research & Development Group (tool & jig design and fabrication), and the Engineering Department including Industrial Engineering and CAD drafting, the Engineering Manager will serve as a key member of the General Manager's staff. The incumbent will supervise the professional engineering staff as well as sixty (60) to seventy (70) skilled craftsmen in the maintenance and tool and die trades.


REQUIREMENTS:
The successful applicant will combine technical engineering skills with managerial leadership experience in metals based manufacturing environment. This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical), coupled with at least a ten (10) year track record of achievement in progressively responsible engineering and management roles. The position requires experience in time and motion study, bills of material, make vs. buy decisions, tool, die, and jig design and manufacture, project management, and lean manufacturing. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must; familiarity with SAP is highly desirable. An advanced degree, and / or certification as a PE, CMfgE, or CEM are a plus.
